We encourage employees to expand their skills, collaborate across disciplines, and contribute to meaningful work supporting government missions. Our teams bring expertise in technology and delivery, with a shared commitment to serving clients and creating lasting impact.

About The Role

Credence is seeking a ServiceNow Developer to design, build, configure, and maintain platform solutions supporting business and IT operations. You will work with stakeholders, administrators, and cross-functional teams to deliver scalable applications, automated workflows, and integrations. This role supports platform modernization and process improvement, applying ServiceNow development expertise, Agile practices, and IT service management principles. The position requires U.S. citizenship and an active Secret clearance.

Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related discipline is required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Candidates must have at least five years of software development experience, including ServiceNow platform development, and experience designing custom scoped applications. Hands-on knowledge of ServiceNow Application Engine, Flow Designer, workflow automation, and Case Management or related modules is expected. A ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) certification is required; Certified Application Developer (CAD) certification is preferred.

Strong proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, AngularJS, and other web technologies used on ServiceNow is important. You should also bring experience with a programming language such as Java, Python, or C++; REST/SOAP APIs and web services; Agile Scrum and the software development lifecycle; and sound software design and development practices. Clear communication, analytical thinking, collaboration, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced team environment are essential.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, customize, test, and deploy ServiceNow applications, modules, workflows, forms, and user interfaces that address business and operational needs. Gather and document functional and technical requirements with stakeholders, and collaborate with administrators and technical teams on platform configuration, enhancements, and issue resolution. Identify system deficiencies, process inefficiencies, and technical challenges, then recommend practical solutions.

Develop scalable, reliable, reusable solutions in accordance with ServiceNow design patterns and development standards. Support consistent development, testing, staging, sandbox, and production environments, as well as repeatable deployment and release management processes. Build integrations with enterprise platforms and applications, and provide production troubleshooting and end-user assistance. Participate in Agile ceremonies and coordinate with Scrum Masters, business stakeholders, and IT teams to deliver project outcomes.

Apply UI/UX practices to improve usability; use version control and CI/CD practices; and maintain technical documentation, configurations, and development artifacts. Conduct code reviews and provide technical guidance or mentorship as needed. Stay current with ServiceNow capabilities and industry practices, and contribute to additional duties and special projects as assigned.

Benefits

The annual salary range is $141,000–$185,000. Actual compensation depends on the selected candidate’s experience, education, certifications, skills, and overall qualifications. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage; 401(k) and IRA retirement plans; basic and voluntary life insurance and AD&D; paid vacation, sick leave, and public holidays; maternity and paternity leave; short- and long-term disability; training and development; and wellness resources.
