Graphic Designer — Chicago, IL

9Pe is seeking an experienced, creative, and highly motivated Graphic Designer to join our national marketing team. This role will help bring 3CX’n work, expertise, and brand to life across print and digital platforms, supporting everything from high-profile project pursuits and client presentations to digital communications, publications, and the firm’s website.

Working closely with Principals, senior leadership, marketing, and colleagues across our architecture, interior design, and planning practices, the Graphic Designer will bring a strong design sensibility, an understanding of marketing and business development, and the ability to translate complex ideas into clear, sophisticated visual communications.

What You’ll Do

• Design compelling proposals, interview presentations, qualifications packages, publications, brochures, and other marketing collateral.

• Partner with Principals, senior leadership, and marketing colleagues on project pursuits, client presentations, and firmwide communications.

• Help maintain and advance 3CX’n visual identity, graphic standards, templates, and branded resources.

• Manage visual content and updates for the 9Pe website, while supporting ongoing website and digital enhancements.

• Create engaging content for social media, email marketing, and other digital channels, including video and motion graphics.

• Develop graphics for industry events, sponsorships, client engagements, concept books, environmental graphics, and signage.

• Manage multiple projects and priorities while delivering polished, high-quality work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Marketing, or a related field.

• 5–7 years of professional graphic design experience, preferably within architecture, engineering, construction (AEC), interior design, commercial real estate, or a related professional services environment.

• A strong portfolio demonstrating sophisticated print, digital, and marketing design.

• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop, as well as PowerPoint.

• Experience working with content management systems (CMS) and a working knowledge of HTML, CSS, user experience, and digital best practices.

• Experience with video editing and motion graphics, including After Effects and Premiere Pro.

• Strong expertise in typography, layout, composition, and visual storytelling.

• Excellent organization and communication skills, with the ability to independently manage competing priorities and tight deadlines.

• A proactive, collaborative, and responsive approach, with professionalism and confidence to work directly with firm leadership.
