We are looking for a Workday integrations rockstar who enjoys solving complex technical challenges and taking ownership from design through to production.
Join an established organisation investing in enterprise technology, digital transformation and automation. This is a hands-on opportunity to shape how Workday connects with critical business systems, deliver complex integrations and help improve an evolving technology landscape that includes Workday and UKG.
You will have the opportunity to influence technical decisions, guide colleagues and see your work make a practical difference across the organisation.
What you will be doing
• Own the full integration lifecycle, including requirements gathering, technical design, development, testing, deployment and production support.
• Build and maintain complex inbound and outbound Workday integrations using Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, BIRT, REST/SOAP APIs and Workday Web Services.
• Deliver scheduled, batch and real-time interfaces connecting Workday with internal applications and third-party platforms.
• Partner with functional teams, payroll stakeholders, security specialists and external vendors to translate business requirements into reliable technical solutions.
• Troubleshoot integration failures, analyse logs, identify root causes and implement lasting fixes.
• Lead integration validation, regression testing, negative testing and defect resolution across Workday environments.
• Manage deployments between tenants, following release management and change control procedures.
• Maintain data security, privacy and compliance controls throughout development and ongoing support.
• Provide technical guidance to colleagues and improve integration reliability, processes and automation.
What you must bring
• At least 5 years of experience in enterprise integration engineering or a Workday technical role, with proven delivery of production Workday integrations.
• Strong hands-on expertise in Workday Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, BIRT, REST/SOAP APIs and Workday Web Services.
• A strong understanding of Workday business objects, data sources and calculated fields.
• Experience with Workday integration security, including Integration System Users, security domains and business process security.
• Experience designing and supporting scheduled, batch and real-time integrations.
• Proficiency with XML, JSON, flat files and SFTP.
• Strong troubleshooting skills, including log analysis, failure investigation and root-cause resolution.
• Experience with integration testing, regression testing, negative testing and defect management.
• Experience supporting live Workday integrations within structured release and change management processes.
• The ability to translate business and functional requirements into clear technical designs.
• Strong communication, organisation and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities independently.
• Experience providing technical guidance to colleagues.
• A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a closely related discipline.
What is on offer
• Annual base salary of $125,000 to $135,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
• A fully remote, permanent position.
• Health, dental and vision insurance.
• Paid time off and retirement programmes.
• Life insurance and short-term disability coverage.
• Tuition reimbursement and professional development opportunities.
• Employee assistance, wellbeing programmes and family support resources.
Benefits are subject to eligibility and applicable plan terms.
