About The Opportunity
Our client is a fast-growing direct-to-consumer company in the floral, gifting, and lifestyle industry. The business competes through distinctive creative, meaningful customer experiences, and a strong brand presence across digital, retail, and business-to-business channels.
The Head of Brand Creative will own the brand vision end to end: defining how it looks, sounds, and shows up across every customer touchpoint. This is a hands-on leadership role for a creative operator who can set a high bar, make thoughtful decisions quickly, and build systems that help a lean team deliver exceptional work during high-volume seasonal periods.
What You’ll Do
• Lead brand strategy and stewardship. Own the messaging framework, visual identity, brand guidelines, and creative standards across all channels.
• Set the creative direction. Develop campaign concepts and creative platforms for product launches, seasonal moments, and integrated marketing initiatives.
• Provide final creative approval. Review and refine work across paid media, email, social, web, packaging, partnerships, and business gifting programs.
• Lead content and production. Art direct studio and lifestyle shoots, including concept development, shot lists, styling direction, talent, and final asset selection.
• Create high-quality briefs. Translate business goals into clear, inspiring briefs for internal teams, freelancers, agencies, and other creative partners.
• Manage external partners. Select, brief, and oversee photographers, designers, production teams, creative agencies, and other vendors.
• Build scalable creative operations. Establish a centralized intake process, content calendar, review cadence, and prioritization framework for brand requests.
• Lead and develop the team. Manage and mentor talent across creative, content, design, communications, partnerships, and influencer marketing.
• Own the creative budget. Plan and allocate resources across production, freelance support, agencies, and other brand investments.
• Partner across the business. Work closely with Growth, E-commerce, Merchandising, Operations, and Sales teams to ensure creative work supports both brand equity and commercial performance.
• Guide brand marketing. Shape public relations, partnerships, and influencer programs while ensuring every collaboration is aligned with the brand’s positioning and standards.
What You’ll Bring
• 6–8 years of progressive brand, creative, or marketing leadership experience, including 3+ years managing people.
• Experience leading brand work for a premium consumer, direct-to-consumer, retail, lifestyle, home, beauty, food, fashion, or gifting business.
• A portfolio demonstrating work you personally directed, including campaigns, creative concepts, photography, and integrated brand experiences.
• Exceptional creative and editorial judgment, with the ability to write clear briefs, give precise feedback, and elevate work from concept through final execution.
• Experience managing agencies, freelancers, production partners, and creative budgets.
• Comfort balancing brand-building initiatives with measurable growth and performance goals.
• Experience collaborating with public relations, partnerships, and influencer teams.
• Strong project management and prioritization skills in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• A collaborative leadership style, high standards, and the ability to remain calm and decisive during peak business periods.
What Success Looks Like in Year One
• A clear, current brand framework is adopted and consistently applied across customer-facing channels.
• Seasonal campaigns and product launches ship on time, on budget, and at a consistently high creative standard.
• Creative requests flow through a single, effective intake process and integrated content calendar.
• Internal teams and external partners use stronger briefs, clearer workflows, and more consistent review processes.
• Brand, PR, partnership, and influencer efforts demonstrate measurable impact on awareness, engagement, and business objectives.
• The brand team is equipped with the processes, priorities, and support needed to perform at a high level through major seasonal moments.
