The Judge Group is seeking a Senior Oracle Developer to support established legacy applications while contributing to planning and preparation for a future cloud migration. This role is suited to an experienced developer who can maintain dependable enterprise systems, improve database performance, and collaborate effectively with technical and business stakeholders.

About The Company

The Judge Group is a professional services and technology consulting organization that connects businesses with skilled talent and helps clients address technical and operational needs. In this opportunity, the successful candidate will support client-focused solutions across Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server environments. The role offers the chance to contribute to important application support and modernization work while working with development teams and stakeholders.

About The Role

As a Senior Oracle Developer, you will design, develop, maintain, and support Oracle databases, applications, and enterprise solutions. You will work with existing systems, investigate application and database issues, and help ensure that services remain reliable, secure, and responsive to user needs. Your work will include developing and maintaining SQL and PL/SQL code, Oracle Forms and Reports, stored procedures, triggers, and other database objects.

You will also contribute to the organization’s future cloud migration by supporting current-state systems and collaborating with relevant teams as modernization plans evolve. This position requires strong technical judgment, clear communication, and a practical approach to balancing ongoing support with application improvement. The compensation for this opportunity is approximately $60 per hour.

Qualifications

Candidates should have at least three years of Oracle development experience and a strong command of Oracle SQL and PL/SQL. Hands-on experience with Oracle Forms and Oracle Reports is required, along with strong Microsoft SQL Server development experience. Successful candidates will be comfortable working with database objects, application code, testing activities, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.

You should be able to analyze technical problems, communicate findings clearly, and work constructively with development teams, stakeholders, and end users. Attention to detail and a commitment to reliable, maintainable solutions are important. Experience supporting legacy applications or contributing to cloud migration initiatives is valuable, as is the ability to adapt to evolving project priorities.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, enhance, and support Oracle databases, applications, and enterprise solutions. Write, review, and maintain SQL and PL/SQL code, stored procedures, triggers, Oracle Forms, Oracle Reports, and related database objects. Perform manual and automated testing to verify functionality, data integrity, application reliability, and overall quality.

Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve Oracle database and application issues, providing timely technical support to end users when needed. Identify opportunities to improve database performance, security, scalability, and maintainability. Participate in code reviews and quality assurance activities, follow established development practices, and document technical work where appropriate. Collaborate with stakeholders and development teams to understand requirements, communicate progress, and deliver solutions that address client needs. Support legacy systems while contributing technical knowledge and preparation relevant to a future cloud migration.

Benefits

This opportunity offers an approximate pay rate of $60 per hour and the ability to contribute to both essential application support and future-focused modernization work. You will apply your Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server expertise to meaningful enterprise systems while collaborating with technical teams and stakeholders. Specific benefits, work arrangements, and engagement details can be discussed during the recruitment process.
