Position Overview

Build and enhance production web applications using modern React and TypeScript technologies. This role combines complex frontend engineering, scalable component design, state management, performance optimization, accessibility, and production troubleshooting.

You'll work across application features, API integrations, testing, and UI architecture while collaborating with product, design, and QA to deliver maintainable, high-quality user experiences.

What You'll Do / Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain production web applications using React and TypeScript.

• Develop reusable components using React hooks, context, and component design patterns.

• Optimize application rendering, lazy loading, and frontend performance.

• Implement state management using Redux Toolkit and server-state libraries such as React Query.

• Build multi-step and conditional forms with schema-based validation.

• Integrate REST APIs and manage request lifecycles, caching, error handling, and request optimization.

• Develop component-based user interfaces using MUI, Emotion, and theming.

• Write automated tests using Jest, React Testing Library, and API mocking tools such as MSW.

• Implement accessible interfaces using semantic HTML, keyboard navigation, and screen-reader support.

• Apply WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility practices.

• Monitor and optimize Core Web Vitals, bundle size, and code splitting.

• Use browser developer tools to profile and diagnose performance issues.

• Participate in Git workflows, merge requests, code reviews, and automated CI/CD quality gates.

• Debug production issues using logs, monitoring, and error-tracking tools.

• Communicate technical decisions, trade-offs, and implementation details effectively.

• Collaborate with product, design, and QA teams to deliver application features.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years building production web applications, with at least 3 years of React and TypeScript.

• Strong TypeScript and React experience, including hooks, context, component design, lazy loading, and avoiding unnecessary re-renders.

• Hands-on Redux Toolkit experience with selectors and a server-state library such as React Query, including caching, invalidation, and error handling.

• Experience building complex multi-step and conditional forms using react-hook-form or similar and schema-based validation such as yup or zod.

• Experience integrating REST APIs, managing request lifecycles and error states, and reducing unnecessary calls through techniques such as debouncing, batching, and optimistic updates.

• Experience with component frameworks such as MUI, CSS-in-JS such as Emotion, and theming.

• Testing experience with Jest and React Testing Library, mocking APIs with tools such as MSW, and writing tests that remain reliable through refactors.

• Practical accessibility experience with semantic HTML, keyboard and screen-reader support, and WCAG 2.1 AA.

• Understanding of web performance fundamentals, including Core Web Vitals, bundle size, code splitting, and browser-based performance profiling.

• Experience with Git and CI/CD workflows, including feature branches, merge requests, code review, and automated lint, type-check, and coverage gates.

• Experience debugging production issues using logs, monitoring, and error tracking.

• Clear communication skills, including explaining technical trade-offs, writing effective merge request descriptions, and collaborating with product, design, and QA.

Preferred Qualifications

• Monorepo experience with Nx, Turborepo, or similar, and pnpm workspaces.

• Experience reading and modifying Webpack and Babel configuration.

• Experience building multi-brand or white-label UIs from a shared codebase.
