Splash Financial was founded in 2013 with a mission to help people become more powerful than their debt. Inspired by the challenges friends and family faced with student loans, the company has grown to support borrowers with additional financial needs, including credit card refinancing. Through its marketplace, automated loan-processing technology, and network of credit union and bank partners, Splash has helped refinance more than $6 billion in loans.
Headquartered in Cleveland and backed by more than $135 million from investors, Splash combines the energy of a growing company with a commitment to meaningful work. The team is focused on simplifying financial products and developing technology that can transform how the lending industry serves people. Splash is guided by values of accountability, continuous improvement, honest communication, and teamwork.
About The Role
Splash Financial is seeking an Operations Data Analyst to turn data into practical insights that strengthen business performance and improve customer outcomes. In this role, you will work across Operations and partner with teams such as Data Engineering and Product. You will analyze servicing, collections, application, and contact-center performance; develop reliable reporting; and help leaders make informed decisions.
This position is suited to a curious, business-minded analyst who enjoys investigating problems and connecting findings to real-world results. You will also explore ways to use AI tools to improve analytics workflows, reduce manual effort, and help the organization operate more efficiently. Splash is remote-first for most positions, while its collections team works onsite in Arizona.
Qualifications
Candidates should have 1–3 or more years of experience in a Data Analyst or Business Analyst role, strong SQL skills, and experience building or maintaining data models. Proficiency with a business intelligence platform such as Sigma, Tableau, or Power BI is expected. You should be able to translate analysis into clear recommendations, manage priorities independently, and deliver projects on time with minimal direction.
A bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Economics, Business, or a related field is preferred; equivalent experience is also considered. Experience with AI or machine-learning tools, or implementing AI-driven solutions, is required. Helpful additional experience includes fintech or financial services, a high-growth company, Python or another programming language, Salesforce Service Cloud, and a related master’s degree.
Successful candidates communicate clearly, collaborate effectively, adapt to changing priorities, and take ownership of their work. A member-focused mindset and interest in using analytics to improve processes and customer experience are important.
Responsibilities
• Analyze servicing and collections results, application funnels, and contact-center metrics to identify trends and opportunities.
• Build and maintain automated reports and data files for lending partners, investors, and vendors; interpret their requirements and deliver accurate information on schedule.
• Maintain and extend data models in Snowflake and dbt, and support the dashboards Operations leaders use to manage their teams.
• Promote consistent metric definitions, audit existing models, and reconcile internal reporting with partner figures.
• Investigate performance gaps, test hypotheses, and develop evidence-based business cases and recommendations for leadership.
• Use AI tools to streamline analytics tasks, including AI-assisted dbt development and automated request triage.
• Work with Data Engineering, Product, Operations, and other teams to scope requests and deliver useful, dependable solutions.
Benefits
The base salary range is $61,000–$97,000 annually. Final compensation depends on factors including location, experience, and skills. Splash offers remote work for most roles, competitive compensation, equity, flexible paid time off, nine company holidays, comprehensive and affordable insurance, paid parental leave for both caregivers, a 401(k), and modern work equipment. Team members also receive a fully paid Claude subscription, quarterly in-person and virtual meetups, and company merchandise.
