The v9Sh2rJSHZ of 2rVYBGj9 t7wagNt (VA), Office of Information and Technology (OIT), is seeking a highly qualified Senior Executive Service (SES) leader to serve as the Executive Director, Portfolio Management for Health, within the Product Delivery Service (PDS).

This executive leadership opportunity plays a critical role in advancing VA's technology modernization priorities, strengthening enterprise IT portfolio management, and delivering innovative, secure, and reliable technology solutions that support VA's mission of serving ajq9pSzj.

Duty Location: Washington, DC / Location Negotiable After Selection

Key Responsibilities

• Provide executive leadership and strategic oversight of enterprise health IT portfolios, products, and services.

• Direct the development, modernization, integration, and delivery of large-scale software applications and technology solutions.

• Establish portfolio governance, product lifecycle management practices, and performance measures to ensure mission alignment and operational effectiveness.

• Oversee strategic resource planning, budget execution, acquisition activities, and fiscal accountability.

• Lead multidisciplinary teams, including federal employees, contractors, and industry partners, across complex technology initiatives.

• Collaborate with senior VA leadership and key stakeholders to align technology investments with organizational priorities.

• Champion modern software development practices, including DevSecOps, Zero Trust, and continuous improvement.

Ideal Candidate

We are seeking an accomplished technology executive with demonstrated experience in:

• Leading large, complex IT portfolio and product management organizations.

• Delivering enterprise health IT solutions, including clinical systems, electronic health record modernization, or supply chain modernization.

• Managing large-scale technology investments, budgets, and geographically dispersed teams.

• Implementing IT governance, product lifecycle management, and modernization strategies.

• Driving organizational performance, accountability, innovation, and measurable mission outcomes.

• Building strategic partnerships and navigating complex federal technology environments.

Pay Plan: Senior Executive Service (SES)

Salary: $151,661–$228,000 annually

Work Arrangement: Telework eligible, subject to agency policy; not remote
