Head of Content

Shaan Puri is hiring a Head of Content to lead and grow his media presence across My First Million and his personal social channels.

This is a hands-on leadership role for an experienced content operator who knows how to turn long-form content into high-performing social content. You'll own content strategy, execution, and growth across Instagram, X, YouTube, TikTok, and LinkedIn, while building Shaan's personal social presence from the ground up.

Initially, you'll be directly involved in creating, repurposing, and publishing content. As output scales, you'll build the systems and team needed to run the operation, working directly with Shaan and overseeing the existing podcast content agency.

Responsibilities

• Own content strategy, execution, and growth across My First Million and Shaan's personal social channels, including building his personal presence from the ground up.

• Repurpose podcast episodes into high-performing clips, Reels, Shorts, carousels, X posts, and written content.

• Maintain high editorial standards across hooks, titles, thumbnails, editing, and writing while preserving Shaan's voice.

• Develop and test new content formats, using performance data to optimize reach, engagement, and follower growth.

• Build scalable content workflows, templates, and publishing calendars, leveraging AI and other tools to improve efficiency without compromising quality.

• Partner with and oversee the existing podcast content agency to streamline production and maintain quality.

• Track performance across platforms, identify opportunities for improvement, and regularly report results and insights to Shaan.

• Execute content creation and publishing directly at first, then recruit and manage editors, writers, designers, and freelancers as the operation grows.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience building content for a creator, podcast, or media brand, with measurable growth results.

• Proven ability to repurpose long-form podcasts or videos into successful short-form content across multiple platforms.

• Experience building content systems or teams from the ground up, ideally starting in a hands-on role.

• Strong editorial judgment and understanding of what drives content performance.

• Excellent writing skills, including the ability to capture Shaan's voice across X and other platforms.

• Comfortable managing content workflows, external agencies, and creative freelancers.

• Proactive, resourceful, and able to execute quickly and independently while maintaining high standards.

• Genuine passion for media and content, with strong familiarity with Shaan Puri and My First Million.

• Bonus: Based in the San Francisco Bay Area.
