Design Director — United States

For our client, we are seeking a Design Director to join the team of a leader in the Media space.

This role will guide the visual direction for a range of campaigns, digital experiences, and experiential work, ensuring the highest standards of craft across the team. The Design Director will partner closely with senior stakeholders and clients to shape creative solutions that align with business objectives and elevate the overall quality of the work. This is a highly collaborative leadership role focused on design excellence, team development, and trusted client partnership.

Location: Remote

Compensation: $200,000 – $230,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Define and uphold quality standards across design disciplines

• Lead the development of innovative design approaches and frameworks

• Oversee multiple projects, providing guidance to elevate creative output

• Ensure team work aligns with strategic and business objectives

• Manage and develop a team through coaching and structured feedback

• Drive learning and capability development, fostering accountability and inclusion

• Build senior client relationships and act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders

Qualifications

• 10+ years of design experience with a diverse portfolio in campaigns, digital, and experiential work

• Exceptional craft and adaptability across brand identity, art direction, interface, and motion design

• Proficient in AI tools for enhancing creative ideation and production, including Nano Banana and MidJourney

• Deep understanding of visual design philosophies and modern brand design systems for digital experiences

• Experience in art direction, including campaign concept generation and visual narrative treatments

• Skilled in directing illustration, typography, animation, and design production
