Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) responsible for managing, maintaining, securing, and optimizing Oracle database environments. The candidate will handle database installation, configuration, performance tuning, backup and recovery, troubleshooting, and high availability to ensure database reliability, scalability, and security.

Key Responsibilities :

• Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain Oracle databases.

• Manage Oracle Database 12c, 19c, and 21c environments.

• Perform database administration, monitoring, and performance tuning.

• Implement database backup and recovery strategies using RMAN.

• Manage Oracle RAC (Real Application Clusters) and Data Guard environments.

• Monitor database health, availability, and performance.

• Troubleshoot database issues, errors, and performance bottlenecks.

• Manage tablespaces, data files, indexes, schemas, and database objects.

• Implement database security, user access, roles, and permissions.

• Perform database patching, upgrades, and migrations.

• Develop and maintain SQL and PL/SQL scripts.

• Support disaster recovery and business continuity planning.

• Monitor database capacity and perform space management.

• Collaborate with application developers, infrastructure teams, and business stakeholders.

• Ensure database compliance with organizational security standards.

Required Technical Skills:

• Strong experience with Oracle Database administration.

• Expertise in Oracle 12c, 19c, and 21c.

• Strong knowledge of SQL and PL/SQL.

• Hands-on experience with Oracle RAC and Data Guard.

• Experience with RMAN backup and recovery.

• Knowledge of Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM).

• Experience with database performance tuning and optimization.

• Knowledge of Linux/Unix operating systems.

• Experience with database installation, patching, and upgrades.

• Knowledge of database security and disaster recovery.

• Experience with Oracle GoldenGate is preferred.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• 12–15+ years of experience in database administration.

• 5+ years of hands-on Oracle DBA experience in enterprise environments.

• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.

• Experience supporting production databases in 24/7 environments.

Preferred Skills:

• Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).

• AWS or Azure database environments.

• Oracle Exadata.

• Oracle GoldenGate replication.

• Database automation using Shell or Python scripting.

• ITIL processes and incident management.
