About the Opportunity:

The HEALTHCARE DATA ENGINEER role is focused on developing and implementing data management and analytics solutions to support healthcare clients. This position contributes significantly by designing data pipelines, ensuring data quality, and delivering analytics tools that inform decision-making. The role is critical for improving data processes and expanding the organization's capabilities in healthcare data management.

Responsibilities:

• Plan, analyze, design, and develop data management, integration, warehousing, and business intelligence solutions

• Use database, analytic programming, and ETL tools to implement and maintain data solutions

• Collaborate with clients and team members to analyze systems, gather requirements, and assess data quality

• Perform data quality analysis and resolve discrepancies

• Translate business and technical requirements into data analysis and management specifications

• Develop and deliver reports and analytic applications tailored to client needs

• Participate in goal-setting and prioritization discussions with teams and clients

• Enhance efficiency and reliability of data processes

• Support system analysis, data pipeline engineering, and data architecture across teams

Requirements:

• Two to four years of experience in data engineering or ETL development

• Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases

• Experience analyzing, transforming, validating, and troubleshooting complex datasets

• Preferably experience with healthcare payer, Medicaid, public health, or human and health services data

• Familiarity with business intelligence and reporting tools such as Tableau or Power BI

• Ability to define business requirements

• Knowledge of cloud-based infrastructure, APIs, databases, and platforms is a plus

• Python and SAS experience preferred but not required

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics, statistics, economics, engineering, or related quantitative discipline

• Strong attention to detail, critical thinking, and communication skills

• Ability to work collaboratively and adapt to changing priorities

Pay Range and Compensation Package:

• The base salary range targeted for this role is $70,000 to $110,000, with final compensation based on experience, education, and other relevant factors.
