About the Role

As QbYhVWQD G4tRSM scales, we’re looking for an ambitious, highly technical Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to build and elevate our test engineering function.

This is a U.S.-based remote role requiring overlap with Eastern Time working hours. You’ll partner closely with Engineering, Product, and AI teams to improve product quality, strengthen QA operations, and scale testing practices across a rapidly evolving SaaS platform. You’ll define test strategy, automation, tooling, and quality initiatives within your feature teams, while contributing hands-on as an individual contributor.

The role reports to the Lead QA Engineer within the Engineering organization. The ideal candidate brings strong test architecture and CI/CD skills, experience executing in a startup environment, and thoughtful ideas about how test engineering can evolve in an AI-driven development environment.

What You’ll Do

• Engineer automated tests: Architect, build, and run tests that provide clear feedback, scale with the services under test, and are easy to maintain.

• Partner across teams: Build strong working relationships across Engineering, Product, AI, and customer-facing teams. Help teams balance speed, reliability, and user experience.

• Improve quality operations: Strengthen quality practices and metrics within your feature teams and across the engineering organization.

• Support secure, compliant development: Help ensure engineering practices support secure software development and the protection of sensitive and regulated data.

What We’re Looking For

• Strong test engineering expertise: Deep experience in software quality engineering, including test strategy, automation frameworks, debugging, exploratory testing, and modern QA methodologies.

• Hands-on technical ability: Comfortable contributing as an individual contributor while providing technical leadership. Able to review architecture, understand systems deeply, and work closely with engineers on quality initiatives.

• Startup or growth-stage experience: A track record of delivering results in fast-paced SaaS environments where processes are evolving and teams must balance speed with quality.

• AI-assisted QA experience: Ability to use modern AI tools and agents to improve QA productivity, from generating test plans to accelerating automation and improving testing workflows.

• Technical curiosity and systems thinking: Able to understand application architecture, APIs, backend systems, and engineering tradeoffs. Comfortable working in open-source-oriented engineering environments.

• Strong collaboration skills: Clear communicator who works effectively with Engineering, Product, and leadership stakeholders.

• Secure data experience: Familiarity with sensitive or regulated data environments and secure development practices.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in healthcare technology, HIPAA-regulated environments, or another highly regulated industry.

• Familiarity with modern testing approaches in AI-enabled development environments, including intelligent test generation and automation workflows.

• Experience in technical engineering organizations that emphasize source code review, deep system understanding, and open-source tooling.

• Experience collaborating with distributed Engineering and QA teams across locations and time zones.

• Technical breadth across modern SaaS architectures, APIs, backend systems, and automated testing frameworks.
