Role Description

The Social Media & Content Creator is a full time role responsible for the social media presence and marketing content of all three companies. This role combines creative strategy with hands on execution, from developing campaign ideas to capturing photo and video content onsite and publishing it across platforms. The position may be structured as a hybrid of in person and remote work, or fully in person with time spent across our three locations. This role requires flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed, and candidates must be local to Ventura County.

What You’ll Do

• Develop creative campaign ideas for each brand and see them through from concept to completion, including gathering everything needed to bring each campaign to life.

• Capture high quality photo and video content across all three properties, including venue spaces, events, and day to day moments.

• Create engaging Reels and short form video content that showcases each brand.

• Build and manage a monthly content calendar for each company, scheduling posts consistently across platforms.

• Research current trends in related fields for content, formats, and audio to keep each brand fresh, relevant, and growing.

• Grow followers, engagement, and outreach for each brand, with a focus on increasing visibility for all businesses.

• Create, launch, and manage Meta Ads campaigns.

• Track performance across platforms and use insights to refine content and strategy going forward.

• Collaborate with our sales, events, and operations teams to align content with bookings, events, and promotions.

• Travel between our Simi Valley, Moorpark, and Thousand Oaks locations as needed to create content.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience managing social media and content for a business, brand, or agency, with at least one role managing multiple accounts or brands at the same time.

• A portfolio showing original photo and video work you personally shot and edited, including Reels or short form video. Applications without a portfolio will not be considered.

• Demonstrated results, such as follower growth, engagement increases, or campaigns that drove inquiries or sales. Please be ready to share specific numbers.

• Advanced skills in photography and videography, including lighting, composition, and editing in professional tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Lightroom, Final Cut, or CapCut.

• Proven experience creating content for events, hospitality, or lifestyle brands in real time, capturing live moments without the option of a reshoot.

• Strong copywriting skills, with the ability to adapt captions and messaging to three very different audiences.

• Highly organized and self directed, able to manage multiple calendars, deadlines, and priorities with minimal oversight.

• Flexible hours, with availability for evenings and weekends as needed to capture events.

• Must currently live locally in Ventura County, with reliable transportation to travel between our three locations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands on experience running Meta Ads campaigns with a managed budget and measurable results.

• Experience in the wedding, event venue, luxury hospitality, or senior living industries.

• Your own professional camera and iphone equipment.

• Familiarity with drone photography and videography.

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, digital media, or a related field.
