Position: Financial Data Engineer

Compensation: $ ••••••••annually, depending on experience

Location: Kansas City, Missouri

Uwfdz7 has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled Financial Data Engineer to join their team!

This is a strong opportunity for a technically driven data professional who enjoys building reliable financial data solutions. In this role, you’ll work closely with Finance, Accounting, Admin, and IT to support reporting, integrations, reconciliation efforts, and data quality initiatives that keep critical business information accurate and actionable.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

• Design and maintain financial databases and reporting solutions

• Build and support data integrations across internal and external systems

• Develop SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and functions

• Create SSRS reports and SSIS packages

• Support data validation, auditing, and error handling processes

• Troubleshoot performance issues and optimize database solutions

• Document requirements, workflows, and technical specifications

• Partner with teams to support testing and implementation efforts

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

• 3 to 5 years of financial or accounting data experience

• 3 to 5 years of SQL Server development experience

• 2 to 3 years of SSRS reporting experience

• 2 to 3 years of SSIS development experience

• Strong understanding of databases and data processing

• Experience with complex business logic and technical documentation

• Ability to work accurately under pressure on multiple projects

Nice to Have Skills & Experience:

• Experience with CTEs and temporal tables

• Power BI experience

• Insurance industry experience

• Experience with insurance accounting software

• Experience with Azure Data Factory

• Knowledge of source control and change management processes

• Database performance tuning and troubleshooting experience
