About The Role

This is a 12-month assignment for an Android developer with more than eight years of relevant professional experience. In this role, you will help design, build, test, and maintain scalable, user-friendly Android applications. You will work with product, design, and engineering partners to translate requirements into dependable mobile experiences and deliver features that meet functional, quality, and performance expectations.

The role requires hands-on expertise in Android development, Kotlin, and Java. Experience with Jetpack Compose and other contemporary Android technologies is important for building maintainable interfaces and supporting evolving product needs. You should be comfortable working across the application lifecycle, from technical planning and implementation through testing, release preparation, and ongoing improvement. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States as a U.S. citizen or Green Card holder; other visa statuses are not eligible for this assignment.

Qualifications

Candidates should have more than eight years of relevant Android development experience and a strong record of delivering production-quality mobile applications. Required skills include Android, Kotlin, and Java. Applicants should also have experience building responsive, accessible user interfaces and applying sound software engineering practices to create scalable and maintainable code.

Experience with Jetpack Compose and familiarity with established Android development tools, libraries, and workflows are highly valued. The ideal candidate can understand product and technical requirements, assess implementation options, and communicate decisions clearly. Strong debugging and problem-solving abilities are essential, along with attention to detail and a commitment to application quality. Candidates should be able to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, manage assigned work responsibly, and adapt as priorities or requirements change.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, enhance, and maintain Android application features using Kotlin, Java, and appropriate Android technologies. Build clear, user-friendly interfaces, including Compose-based experiences where suitable, and ensure that application behavior is consistent across supported devices and operating conditions. Contribute to technical design discussions and help turn product requirements, design specifications, and user needs into practical implementation plans.

Write readable, reusable, and maintainable code in accordance with established engineering standards. Test features, investigate defects, troubleshoot performance or compatibility issues, and implement reliable fixes. Participate in code reviews, share technical knowledge, and incorporate feedback to improve quality. Coordinate with product managers, designers, backend developers, QA professionals, and other stakeholders to clarify requirements and support smooth integration.

Help maintain development documentation and contribute to release readiness, ongoing application support, and continuous improvement. Identify opportunities to strengthen usability, stability, performance, and maintainability while balancing delivery timelines with technical quality. Communicate progress, risks, dependencies, and recommendations clearly to the project team.
