Communications Manager — Minneapolis, MN

The Communications Manager is responsible for building and leading the internal communications function for a fast-growing organization headquartered in the Twin Cities.

This is a hands-on, high-visibility role with a strong emphasis on employee communications, executive messaging, and change management. The position plays a key role in keeping a rapidly expanding workforce aligned, informed, and engaged as the company scales and evolves the way it operates.

The role blends strategy with execution, from managing internal intranet and setting a communication cadence to writing CEO messages and building onboarding experiences. It requires someone who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and can partner directly with senior leaders to turn complex business decisions into clear, employee-focused messaging.

Worksite Location: Plymouth, Minnesota - Hybrid (1x/week in office)

Salary: $130k-$150k base salary

Roles & Responsibilities

• Lead development and execution of a company-wide internal communications strategy, including governance and a consistent communication cadence

• Launch and manage the company intranet as the central hub for employee information

• Partner with the CEO and senior leadership to craft executive communications, town halls, FAQs, and announcements

• Build change management communication plans for new initiatives, policies, benefits, and organizational updates

• Create an engaging, consistent onboarding communication experience for new hires

• Deliver messaging across email, Teams, video, newsletters, and manager toolkits

• Equip people leaders with the tools and talking points to communicate effectively with their teams

• Measure communication effectiveness and employee engagement, and refine the approach based on results

Required Skills & Experience

• 5-7+ years of experience in internal communications, employee experience, change management, or a related field

• Exceptional writing skills and the ability to translate complex topics into clear, relatable messaging

• Experience advising senior leaders and managing executive communications

• Background supporting organizations through rapid growth or significant change

• Strong project management skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities

• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build credibility quickly across stakeholders

• Experience launching or managing an intranet or similar employee communication platform preferred
