Senior Network Engineer

You will be responsible for designing, maintaining, implementing, and troubleshooting our clients networks. You will work in a collaborative environment to provide cutting edge solutions and customer service.

You can expect to spend your time accomplishing the following:

· 85% of time on Objective 1: Completing customer projects and solutions

· 10% of time on Objective 2: Prioritization, planning, and scheduling

· 5% of time on Objective 3: Professional growth and development

Job Responsibilities - What to Expect

· Design, implement, and support LAN, WLAN, and WAN network infrastructure.

· Serve as technical escalation point.

· Create and maintain technical and process documentation.

· Troubleshoot infrastructure related hardware or network connectivity issues.

· Perform testing and validation of new hardware and code.

· Lead the design, test, and implementation of network proposals.

· Provide consultation support to internal and external partners for network infrastructure design and enhancements.

Your Knowledge & Expertise

· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or engineering related field (Preferred)

· 10 years of experience in a computer related field.

· JNCIP or CCNP (Required)

· JNCIE or CCIE (Service Provider Preferred)

· ITIL 4 Foundation (Preferred)

· Experience in production network environments.

· Experience in the configuration and deployment of Cisco, Juniper, and Aruba switches, routers, and wireless access points.

· Experience with the design, troubleshooting and configuration of network protocols such as BGP, OSPF, TCP/IP, MPLS, and Spanning Tree.

· Experience with leading the design and delivery of network projects.

· Experience with network monitoring and diagnostic tools.

· Experience with the creation and maintenance of documentation such as operating procedures and network diagrams.

· Strong customer service skills.

· Strong technical troubleshooting skills.

· Strong written and verbal communication skills.

· Strong time, priority, and task management skills.

· Familiarity with enterprise and user networks a plus.

· Ability to manage multiple assigned tasks concurrently with minimal supervision.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

· Python and Ansible experience a plus.

· Previous experience with Metro Ethernet networks and infrastructure a plus.
