Scrum Master — Greater Indianapolis

A leading client of ours on Indy's North side is seeking an experienced, collaborative, and results-driven Scrum Master to support Agile development teams in delivering high-quality technology solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Agile methodologies, excellent facilitation and communication skills, and a passion for continuous improvement.

In this role, you will serve as a servant leader, helping teams embrace Agile principles, remove obstacles, improve collaboration, and consistently deliver business value.

This role is onsite.

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitate Agile ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and backlog refinement.

• Coach and mentor Scrum teams on Agile principles, Scrum practices, and continuous improvement.

• Identify and remove impediments that impact team productivity and delivery.

• Partner with Product Owners, development teams, and business stakeholders to ensure alignment on priorities and objectives.

• Track and communicate Agile metrics, including sprint velocity, burndown charts, and team performance indicators.

• Foster a collaborative, transparent, and accountable team environment.

• Support sprint planning, capacity management, and delivery forecasting.

• Identify opportunities to improve processes, team effectiveness, and overall delivery performance.

• Facilitate communication and coordination across multiple teams and stakeholders.

• Promote Agile best practices while adapting approaches to meet organizational needs.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience serving as a Scrum Master in an Agile environment.

• Strong understanding of Scrum, Kanban, and Agile software development methodologies.

• Experience facilitating Agile ceremonies and coaching cross-functional teams.

• Proficiency with Agile project management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.

• Excellent communication, organizational, facilitation, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to manage competing priorities and navigate complex team dynamics.

• Experience collaborating with Product Owners, developers, QA teams, and business stakeholders.

• Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).

Preferred Qualifications

• Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), or equivalent certification.

• Experience working in enterprise IT or software development environments.

• Familiarity with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) or other Agile scaling methodologies.

• Experience supporting multiple Scrum teams.

• Knowledge of Agile metrics, reporting, and delivery optimization.
