Rust Developer | Remote, U.S. | Full-time, Direct W2

Bright Vision Technologies | Salary: $145,000–$205,000 annually | Experience: 6+ years

About The Company

Bright Vision Technologies is a technology consulting and software development company delivering cloud, artificial intelligence, data, and enterprise solutions across the United States. We partner with organizations to build and modernize technology platforms that support business-critical operations. This opportunity offers the chance to join an established, well-respected organization with potential for professional growth and the opportunity to contribute to complex engineering initiatives.

About The Role

We are seeking an experienced Rust Developer to design, build, and optimize high-performance distributed systems, low-latency backend services, and cloud-native infrastructure components. You will develop concurrent, memory-safe applications and integrate them with cloud environments, container orchestration platforms, and event-driven architectures.

Working with platform engineers, distributed systems architects, DevOps teams, and product engineering groups, you will help deliver scalable APIs, asynchronous processing pipelines, networking services, and infrastructure automation tools. The team’s work includes API gateway and service mesh components, real-time event streaming, distributed scheduling, Kubernetes platform services, identity infrastructure, and systems observability. This is a hands-on role spanning architecture, implementation, performance optimization, deployment, and production operations.

Qualifications

Required qualifications include at least six years of professional software engineering experience and three or more years of production Rust development. You should have strong knowledge of Rust’s ownership model, borrowing, lifetimes, traits, generics, and macros, along with practical experience using asynchronous Rust, including Tokio, async/await, Futures, and frameworks such as Actix or Axum.

You should bring experience with concurrency, multithreading, synchronization, operating system fundamentals, Linux, and networking. Candidates should have built RESTful APIs, gRPC services, and backend applications, and have experience with a major cloud platform: AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. Familiarity with SQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server; NoSQL technologies such as Redis, Cassandra, DynamoDB, or MongoDB; and messaging systems such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, NATS, or Pulsar is expected. Hands-on experience with Git, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines is also required.

Strong debugging, profiling, benchmarking, and performance optimization skills are important, as is experience working in Agile environments. Preferred experience includes high-throughput distributed platforms, Terraform or Pulumi, Kubernetes Operators, service meshes, Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, cryptography, Rust command-line tools, or C/C++ interoperability. Open-source contributions or involvement in the Rust community are welcome.

Responsibilities

Design and develop reliable Rust services for large-scale distributed systems, including low-latency APIs, asynchronous workloads, and event-driven microservices. Build networking applications using protocols such as TCP, UDP, HTTP/2, gRPC, WebSockets, and QUIC. Use Rust’s async ecosystem to create concurrent services capable of handling substantial transaction volumes with high availability and fault tolerance.

Optimize CPU and memory usage, thread scheduling, and application performance. Integrate services with enterprise messaging platforms and develop secure APIs and authentication services using standards such as OAuth2, JWT, OpenID Connect, and mTLS. Implement structured logging, distributed tracing, and performance monitoring. Participate in architecture and code reviews, system design discussions, and production support; investigate issues involving networking, concurrency, memory, and distributed systems; and work with DevOps teams on automated deployments, CI/CD, and Infrastructure as Code.

Benefits

This is a full-time, direct W2 position offering a salary range of $145,000–$205,000 annually and 100% remote work within the United States. The role provides opportunities to work on mission-critical enterprise platforms, contribute to modern cloud infrastructure, collaborate with experienced technical teams, and develop your career within an established technology organization. Specific benefits details can be discussed during the hiring process.

U.S. citizens, Green Card holders, EAD holders, and candidates seeking an H-1B transfer are encouraged to apply. The company is unable to sponsor new H-1B visa petitions for this position. To apply, email your resume to •••••••• or call (••••••••Learn more at ••••••••
