Senior Power BI Reporting Developer

Remote (U.S.-based, East Coast hours)

We're looking for a hands-on reporting developer to rebuild and modernize complex legacy reports for a federal agency's national data reporting program. The work is about recreating existing reports in Power BI while keeping their business rules, calculations, and outputs exactly right, not building KPI dashboards or executive scorecards.

What You'll Do

• Rebuild and modernize complex legacy reports in Power BI while preserving existing business rules and calculations

• Write advanced DAX measures and reporting logic

• Build and optimize SQL queries against SQL Server and other enterprise data sources

• Create multi-page, drill-down, drill-through, and ad hoc reports

• Match report outputs to existing Excel-based reports and templates

• Test, validate, deploy, and maintain reports, working closely with business and technical stakeholders

Required

• 5+ years of enterprise reporting and BI development

• Advanced Power BI and advanced DAX

• Strong SQL, including query optimization and troubleshooting

• SQL Server experience

• Experience rebuilding or migrating reports

• Experience with complex reporting environments, large data sets, and multiple stakeholders

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics,
