ОткликнутьсяSVG covers the world of gaming through entertaining, insightful content that explores the games, characters, franchises, and industry conversations that keep players engaged. Our coverage gives readers fresh perspectives on the titles and topics they care about.
We're seeking a freelance editor with deep, comprehensive knowledge of the Grand Theft Auto franchise to help shape our expanded coverage surrounding the highly anticipated release of Grand Theft Auto VI. We're looking for more than a casual fan or general gaming enthusiast — the ideal candidate is a dedicated GTA expert who has spent significant time playing the games, knows the franchise inside and out, and actively follows its evolving community, history, and developments.
As excitement builds around GTA VI, you'll edit content covering the game before, during, and well beyond its release — from pre-launch news and updates to launch coverage, ongoing developments, and community conversations. You'll work closely with writers and our editorial team to ensure coverage is timely, accurate, and engaging, with opportunities to contribute to other gaming topics as our coverage evolves.
What You'll Do
• Edit and publish GTA-focused articles with an emphasis on accuracy, clarity, structure, and voice
• Identify factual inaccuracies, missing context, and nuances in GTA coverage that require firsthand franchise knowledge and expertise
• Provide constructive, actionable feedback to help writers strengthen their work
• Coordinate coverage and assignments with the content strategy and editorial teams
• Stay current on GTA news, community discussions, and developments surrounding Grand Theft Auto VI
• Uphold SVG's editorial standards, style guide, and publishing guidelines
• Keep content moving efficiently through the editing and publishing workflow
What We Offer
• Compensation: $23/hour
• Paid editor assessment: $50 for a completed assessment
• Reliable pay: Twice-monthly payments
• Freelance, remote work: Work from anywhere with a stable internet connection
• High visibility: Your work reaches millions of readers and may be syndicated across MSN, Yahoo, AOL, Apple News, and more
What You'll Need
• 3+ years of professional editorial experience in digital or print media, preferably covering gaming or entertainment
• Extensive firsthand experience playing Grand Theft Auto titles, with expert-level knowledge of the franchise's history, characters, storylines, gameplay mechanics, and community
• Deep familiarity with the GTA fan community, including ongoing discussions, theories, controversies, and developments surrounding Grand Theft Auto VI
• Strong line-editing, copy-editing, and fact-checking skills
• Experience building, editing, and publishing content in a CMS
• Familiarity with AP style
• Experience working with freelance writers and providing clear, constructive editorial feedback
Why You Want to Work Here
• Work with an experienced editorial team that values quality, accuracy, and engaging storytelling
• Help shape coverage of one of the most anticipated video game releases in history
• Reach millions of readers with your gaming expertise
• Enjoy flexible, fully remote freelance work with reliable pay
