Linux Administrator (JOB ID 003395) — Huntsville, AL

U.S. Citizenship required, ACTIVE Public Trust highly preferred

Requirements:

• 2+ years of professional Linux Admin experience including experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)

• Linux command-line (CLI/Bash) experience - system monitoring and troubleshooting

• Experience administering VMware or virtual machines

• A.S. or B.S. Degree REQUIRED

• Must be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance (successfully pass a thorough Government background screening process including fingerprinting)

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with Ansible for automation

• RHEL/Linux Admin or CompTIA Sec+ Certifications

• Familiarity with DevSecOps pipelines and automated infrastructure tools

• Experience with Storage Array technologies (Nexsan, Dell Unity)

Responsibilities:

• Ensure day-to-day operations and ongoing support of Servers & Systems including event, fault, and performance management.

• Install, monitor, and troubleshoot operating systems, hardware, and computer infrastructure. Primarily RHEL with some Ubuntu (Linux).

• Perform app health monitoring, performance analytics, and capacity planning to maximize system reliability for continuous software enhancements and deployments across environments.

• Work closely with sys admins, database and app admins, network engineers, analysts, and customers in engineering solutions or resolving problems.

• Develop and maintain documentation, operational procedures, implementation guides, and knowledge articles.
