About The Company

Bright Vision Technologies is a technology consulting and software development company delivering cloud, artificial intelligence, data, and enterprise solutions across the United States. We partner with organizations to build and improve technology platforms that support demanding business needs. Join an established, well-respected company offering opportunities to contribute to complex engineering work and grow your career.

About The Role

Bright Vision Technologies is seeking an experienced Rust Developer to design, build, and optimize high-performance distributed systems, low-latency backend services, and cloud-native infrastructure components. You will help power mission-critical enterprise platforms through secure, reliable, and highly concurrent software.

Working closely with platform engineers, distributed systems architects, DevOps teams, and product engineering groups, you will develop scalable APIs, asynchronous processing pipelines, networking services, and infrastructure tools. The role spans architecture, implementation, performance optimization, deployment, and operational support in production environments. This is a remote position open to candidates located in the United States.

Qualifications

Applicants should have at least six years of professional software engineering experience, including three or more years of hands-on Rust development in production. You should have strong knowledge of Rust ownership, borrowing, lifetimes, traits, generics, and macros, along with experience using async Rust, including Tokio, async/await, Futures, and frameworks such as Actix or Axum.

Qualifications include experience with concurrent programming, multithreading, synchronization, REST APIs, gRPC, Linux, operating system fundamentals, and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. Strong SQL skills and experience with relational or NoSQL databases are expected. You should also be familiar with Git, CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, Agile practices, and messaging systems such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, NATS, or Pulsar. Excellent debugging, profiling, benchmarking, and performance optimization skills are important.

Experience with high-throughput platforms, Kubernetes Operators, service meshes, Terraform or Pulumi, Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, cryptography, Rust systems utilities, or C/C++ interoperability is an advantage. Open-source contributions or involvement in the Rust community are welcome.

Responsibilities

Design and develop high-performance Rust services for large-scale distributed systems, including low-latency APIs, asynchronous services, and event-driven microservices. Build networking applications using protocols such as TCP, UDP, HTTP/2, gRPC, WebSockets, and QUIC. Develop concurrent applications with Rust’s async ecosystem and design resilient services intended for high availability and fault tolerance.

Optimize CPU and memory use, thread scheduling, and overall application performance. Integrate services with enterprise messaging platforms and databases, and build secure APIs and authentication capabilities using standards such as OAuth2, JWT, OpenID Connect, and mTLS. Contribute to structured logging, distributed tracing, and performance monitoring. Participate in architecture and code reviews, system design, production support, and investigation of complex networking, concurrency, and memory issues. Collaborate with DevOps teams on CI/CD and infrastructure automation.

Benefits

This opportunity offers a full-time, direct W2 position with a salary range of $145,000–$205,000 annually and the flexibility of working remotely within the United States. You will contribute to enterprise-scale cloud platforms and challenging distributed systems projects while working with experienced engineering teams. Bright Vision Technologies offers meaningful opportunities for professional development and career growth.
