Junior Motion Designer — The Colony, TX

Why We’re Hiring

Our company is expanding due to increasing workload and clientele and we are looking for a talented motion graphics designer to join our team. In this role, you will assume end-to-end ownership of post-production workflows for key client accounts and internal projects, including content for Bryson DeChambeau’s YouTube channel. This addition is critical for executing additional workload and freeing up capacity across the broader production team.

The Role

As a Junior Motion Designer at zqs4, you will create compelling, polished, and platform-ready motion graphics. In this role, you will work closely with our Director of Design and YouTube post-production team. This role is meant for someone who understands not only the fundamentals of design and motion graphics, but how to utilize those fundamentals to create compelling visuals to support the content.

Key Responsibilities

• Ideate and animate motion graphics for YouTube videos, social content, and client campaigns

• Build and maintain MOGRTs for internal production

• Work across multiple brand systems keeping consistency across all platforms

• Add on-screen graphics, visual effects, transitions, sound effects, and more to the content

• Work closely with the Director of Design to ensure each project is on time and up to company standards

• Prepare final exports, maintain clean project organization, and follow tVdJ’q workflow systems, naming conventions, and post-production processes

What We Are Looking For

Our Must-Haves

• 1-3 years of experience creating motion graphics based around content

• A reel showing original motion design work

• Advanced proficiency in Adobe After Effects

• Strong understanding of animation: easing, timing, and spacing

• Strong design instincts: typography, layout, hierarchy and color

• Experience working with camera and motion tracking within After Effects or Mocha

• Strong time management skills, and the ability to work under short deadlines

• Experience collaborating with teams and multiple stakeholders on a single project or video

Our Nice-To-Haves

• Experience animating creator-led, talent-led, or personality-driven content

• Experience with golf & other sports, challenge content, documentary-style, or personality-driven entertainment

• Experience working with top-tier creators, athletes, celebrities, or public figures

• Familiarity with Figma, Blender, Cinema 4D

• Personal interest in expanding knowledge into other areas of design and animation

What We Offer

• Base Salary: $55,000 - $60,000 (Commensurate with experience)
