neTU Uce5CbRj ryFKfh cTWygPrHQ seeks a Wordpress Specialist to join our Website Division with website design (blocks and custom/css), moderate Wordpress development, day-to-day updates/edits as requested by clients, transferring of data to new sites and new website builds. The Wordpress Specialist position is an excellent role for someone looking to enter the field of Website Marketing and Design and who has an interest in government communication.

JGPR is a busy, thriving newsroom environment managing hundreds of campaigns and websites for police and fire departments, public schools and government agencies as well as nonprofit clients. There tend of be several support requests from clients each day, and we are responsive to breaking news and world events as they unfold. Working at JGPR will put you at the forefront of the news cycle, being in the middle of major news stories and public affairs campaigns every day. The work is not slow, boring or methodical--it's high energy and every day is something new.

Candidates should have the skills needed to build out new websites for our client base from the beginning stages or meeting with the clients to understand their wants and needs, to exploring templates and layouts, building out a Wordpress website and ultimately launching a new and advanced website. Candidate should also be able to respond to client support requests in a timely manner.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop and Design Wordpress websites with moderate functionality

• News blogs, public safety/police/fire websites, school and government websites

• Membership sites, news/event portals, agency websites, event ticketing, LMS

• Custom Fields experience a plus

• Work with the team on existing client websites and new website creation.

• Partner with Account Teams to troubleshoot client website errors and problems as they arise.

• Other duties and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

• Understanding of the Wordpress platform & navigating the backend dashboard with Gutenberg Blocks and other editors.

• Design eye and development skill from kickoff to launch

• Knowledge of Wordpress Plugins such as Gravity Forms, Events Calendar Pro, Paid Memberships Pro, Advanced Forms, ACF, etc.

• Exhibit the ability to effectively communicate and demonstrate organizational skills

• Familiarity with the Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Photoshop

• Familiarity with Canva

• Familiarity with Social Media Platforms such as; Facebook, Instagram, X, and LinkedIn

• Familiarity with Cloudflare

• HTML, CSS, Javascript and PHP experience
