Through A/B testing, data analysis, and continuous experimentation, you will identify opportunities to increase retention and lifetime value. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of impactful marketing initiatives in a dynamic, technology-driven sports entertainment environment.

Accountabilities

• Execute the lifecycle marketing roadmap across onboarding, activation, conversion, retention, reactivation, and VIP engagement, identifying opportunities to develop new customer journeys.

• Build, configure, and maintain automated customer journeys and Canvases within Braze, using behavioral triggers and segmentation logic based on sports preferences, contest types, deposit history, engagement recency, and user activity.

• Develop and maintain a comprehensive lifecycle marketing calendar aligned with major sporting events and seasonal opportunities, including NFL kickoff, March Madness, NBA Playoffs, the Masters, and the World Cup.

• Support cohort-based testing initiatives in collaboration with the Senior Growth team to improve 30-day and 90-day user retention.

• Write engaging, conversion-focused copy tailored to different audiences, channels, and stages of the customer journey.

• Coordinate with design teams to develop creative assets that improve engagement, open rates, and click-through rates.

• Build and maintain audience segments using Braze and Segment, collaborating with analytics teams and leveraging SQL support when needed to ensure accurate targeting.

• Conduct pre-launch quality assurance checks to verify campaign content, audience selection, timing, automation logic, and technical functionality.

• Propose and execute A/B tests across subject lines, messaging, creative assets, send times, segmentation strategies, and promotional offers.

• Prepare weekly lifecycle marketing performance reports covering open rates, click-through rates, conversion rates, unsubscribe rates, retention impact, and incremental revenue.

• Analyze campaign performance, identify key insights, and translate findings into actionable optimization recommendations.

• Collaborate with data analysts on attribution and incrementality measurement to evaluate the actual contribution of lifecycle marketing to business performance.

• Identify customer journey drop-offs and engagement gaps, recommending targeted campaigns and improvements to increase conversion and retention.

• Work closely with paid media, content, product, and growth teams to ensure consistent messaging and a seamless user experience.

• Leverage AI-powered tools to improve copywriting, audience segmentation, campaign ideation, reporting, and overall marketing efficiency.

Requirements

• 2–4 years of hands-on experience in lifecycle marketing, CRM, email marketing, or push notification marketing.

• Previous experience in a consumer application, gaming, direct-to-consumer (DTC), fintech, or digital marketing agency environment.

• Practical experience using Braze or a comparable marketing automation platform, such as Iterable, , or Klaviyo.

• Demonstrated ability to build automated customer journeys, create audience segments, and execute multi-channel marketing campaigns independently.

• Strong copywriting skills, with the ability to create engaging and conversion-oriented messages across email, push notifications, and in-app communications.

• Working knowledge of customer segmentation, behavioral triggers, cohort analysis, and recency-frequency-monetary (RFM) segmentation principles.

• Understanding of key lifecycle marketing metrics, including activation, repeat engagement, retention, churn, conversion rates, and customer lifetime value (LTV).

• Comfortable working with marketing performance data, interpreting reports, identifying trends, and translating insights into actionable improvements.

• Experience designing and analyzing A/B tests, developing clear hypotheses, and evaluating campaign effectiveness.

• Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple campaigns, deadlines, and priorities simultaneously.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across marketing, product, design, growth, and analytics teams.

• Strong sense of ownership, initiative, and accountability, with the ability to independently manage projects from briefing through execution and performance analysis.

• Regular use of AI tools for copywriting, segmentation analysis, customer journey development, and reporting, or a strong willingness to integrate AI into daily workflows.

• Genuine interest in sports, with a strong understanding of sports culture and the ability to create relevant communications that resonate with sports fans.

• Passion for fantasy sports and real-money gaming is a significant advantage.

• Experience with Braze Canvas Flow, Liquid templating, and webhook orchestration is a plus.

• Familiarity with Segment, Snowflake, dbt, and modern data infrastructure is desirable.
