Compensation: $175-180k/Year
As a Senior Website Designer, you will own the end-to-end visual craft and user experience of our Tier 1 event websites. You are a visually-driven designer who can take platform technical constraints and turn them into premium, immersive brand experiences.
This is not a standard product UX role. We are looking for an expert in visual storytelling, editorial typography, and digital art direction who excels at adapting high-level brand guidelines to web layouts . You will work closely with front-end engineers to ensure a flawless, frictionless attendee journey within the limits of our platform.
Responsibilities
Visual Design & Digital Art Direction
• Brand Translation: Interpret and adapt complex creative guidelines and event-specific key art into digital web layouts.
• Premium Editorial Craft: Apply world-class typography, layouts, and visual hierarchy to turn text-heavy agendas, speaker bios, and event info into engaging experiences.
• Immersive Theme Crafting: Design cohesive, beautiful light and dark modes that evoke a premium, intentional aesthetic.
• Interactive Polish: Prototype subtle, engaging CSS transitions, hover states, and micro-interactions that make template-driven components feel premium and alive.
Component Optimization & Tech Alignment
• Designing within Constraint: Master the components of our event-registration platforms (forms, scheduling grids, speaker profiles) to design highly creative, functional solutions that do not require custom, heavy engineering overhauls.
• User-Centric Journeys: Protect the end-user experience by designing intuitive, accessible, and frictionless registration flows, minimizing drop-off.
• Mobile-First Execution: Prioritize and deliver beautiful, fully responsive designs optimized for on-the-go attendees checking details on-site.
• Performance Mindfulness: Collaborate with engineering to ensure high-fidelity visual assets are fully optimized for rapid page load times.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Speed
• Pair Designing: Partner directly with marketing teams' embedded designers and external creative agencies in shared Figma canvases. Co-create and iterate on visual ideas in real time.
• Matrixed Stakeholder Management: Confidently present high-fidelity visual concepts to cross-functional partners to gain quick alignment .
• Thriving under Pressure: Drive design execution smoothly to meet tight, immovable event launch deadlines without compromising visual quality or core UX.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in UX/UI Design, Graphic Design, Interaction Design, or equivalent practical experience .
• 5+ years of experience designing high-traffic, premium external marketing websites, launch pages, or digital event experiences.
• A high craft portfolio showcasing exceptional visual design, editorial typography, and high-fidelity web layouts.
Preferred Qualifications
• Event Platform Experience: Proven experience designing registration flows or event websites using template-driven component engines.
• Collaborative Figma Expert: Advanced proficiency in Figma, with a track record of "pair designing" alongside agency partners or cross-org brand teams.
• Developer Empathy: A strong understanding of modern web capabilities (HTML/CSS, responsive breakpoints, asset compression) to negotiate technical trade-offs seamlessly.
• Comfort with Ambiguity: Ability to run fast, adapt to shifting event priorities, and iterate rapidly under pressure.
