About The Role
The role builds the interfaces that users touch every day — responsive, accessible web applications served at scale, with sub-second load times and zero tolerance for visual or functional regressions.
The engineer will work within a cross-functional product squad alongside backend engineers and designers, translating complex product requirements into performant, well-tested frontend code that ships weekly.
Key Responsibilities
• Design and implement user-facing features in React and TypeScript, owning components from wireframe through production release
• Build reusable component libraries and design system primitives used across multiple product surfaces
• Optimize application performance: bundle analysis, code splitting, lazy loading, and Core Web Vitals tuning (LCP, INP, CLS)
• Integrate with REST and GraphQL APIs, handling caching, optimistic updates, and error states with robust state management (Redux Toolkit, TanStack Query, or equivalent)
• Write comprehensive test coverage using Jest, React Testing Library, and Playwright for end-to-end flows
• Participate in code reviews, pairing sessions, and architecture discussions on frontend tooling and standards
• Collaborate directly with product managers and designers in sprint planning, breaking down ambiguous requirements into shippable increments
What We Are Looking For
• 3–6 years of professional frontend engineering experience building production web applications
• Deep expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript and modern React (hooks, context, server components, or Next.js)
• Strong command of CSS architecture — Flexbox, Grid, preprocessors, or utility-first frameworks like Tailwind — and responsive, cross-browser layouts
• Hands-on experience with build tooling and CI/CD pipelines (Vite, Webpack, GitHub Actions) and Git-based workflows
• Track record of improving measurable performance metrics and shipping accessible, WCAG-compliant interfaces
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
• Bonus: experience with React Native or mobile web optimization, design system ownership, Storybook, or frontend observability tools (Sentry, Datadog RUM)
