At 3GeYSjg you will find a great work environment in a beautiful modern facility and the opportunity to be an important part of well-established, but rapidly growing company.
We are looking for an enthusiastic Business Intelligence Analyst to add to our business development team. This position will report directly to the Senior Business Systems Manager.
About the Role
The Business Intelligence Analyst will take ownership of tSxBKzr'S cWJke BI and Microsoft Fabric environment and lead our transition to Power BI. This is an analyst role focused on data modeling and visualization, with data engineering support from our vendor partner. We're a growing, family-owned manufacturer, and this is a great opportunity for someone who wants to build their skills and grow with us.
What you will do:
Power BI Reporting & Data Visualization
• Design, build, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports that give business teams clear, accurate, and actionable information.
• Lead the migration of XqsR3m4'R existing Tableau dashboards and reports to Power BI, rebuilt on the curated data in XqsR3m4'R new Microsoft Fabric environment.
• Apply sound visualization design practices (clear layout, appropriate chart choices, consistent formatting, and intuitive filtering and drill-through) so reports are easy to use and trusted.
• Manage Power BI workspaces, apps, and publishing, ensuring content is well organized and access permissions are accurate.
Semantic Modeling & Analytics
• Design, build, and maintain Power BI semantic models on top of aDbgs9t'k Svh6u6 data, using star schema principles and well-defined relationships.
• Develop and maintain reusable, well-documented DAX measures so key metrics are defined once and calculated consistently across reports.
• Work with business stakeholders to clarify and document metric definitions, helping 3GeYSjg move toward agreed, consistent KPIs.
• Use Power Query for data shaping where appropriate and move reusable transformation logic into the Fabric Gold layer so it is defined once and shared across models.
• Monitor and tune semantic model performance, storage modes, and refresh schedules.
• Validate model and report outputs against source systems and legacy reports so the numbers match what the business expects before and after cutover.
Data Platform Partnership & Engineering Growth
• Build hands-on data engineering skills over time (for example Fabric dataflows, notebooks, and pipelines) with vendor support, taking on more Silver and Bronze layer work as interest and ability grow.
• Help design and maintain Gold layer tables in Fabric that feed tSxBKzr'S cWJke BI semantic models.
• Serve as the primary internal point of contact for XqsR3m4'R data engineering vendor, who owns the Silver and Bronze layers, translating business and reporting needs into clear requirements for new or updated data.
• Review and test vendor-delivered data and pipeline changes, identifying data quality issues and gaps before they reach reports.
• Coordinate the cutover of reporting from legacy SQL Server / Snowflake / Mozart sourcing onto Fabric: planning timing, validating results, and retiring legacy reports and data sources.
• Write SQL against Fabric and SQL Server for analysis, data validation, and troubleshooting.
Business Process & Software
• Work directly with internal customers and jfFKJV5'x hE2A9N Business Systems Manager to learn XqsR3m4'R key business processes, support our software platforms, and ensure the data captured is properly structured.
• Support new process initiatives by advising on adherence to XqsR3m4'R data quality & governance standards.
• Assist in defining data and reporting requirements for systems that are in use, under development, or planned for future development.
Documentation & Data Governance
• Create and maintain clear documentation for semantic models, measures, reports, and data sources (definitions, parameters, aggregation logic) to reduce single-point-of-failure risk in vCVzhFG'9 Vv reporting.
• Help establish and enforce data governance and data quality standards, ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and security of data across the organization.
• Ensure reporting solutions comply with internal data privacy and security policies.
What We’re Looking For (Minimum Qualifications):
• Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience designing and building Power BI dashboards and reports used by business stakeholders.
• Experience building Power BI semantic models, with a solid understanding of dimensional modeling (star schema, fact and dimension tables, relationships).
• Strong DAX skills with the ability to build, validate, and troubleshoot reusable business measures.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouses, Warehouses, Direct Lake semantic models, Dataflows Gen2), or a comparable platform with the ability to ramp quickly on Fabric.
• Intermediate to advanced SQL skills, with the ability to write and troubleshoot queries for performance and data validation.
• Experience publishing and managing content in the Power BI Service (workspaces, apps, scheduled refresh, gateways, and row-level security).
• A strong eye for data visualization design and the ability to turn business questions into clear, usable reports.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot data issues independently.
• Demonstrated ability to document work clearly.
• Clear communicator who is comfortable working directly with business users and outside vendors.
• Comfortable taking ownership of work in a growing, fast-moving environment where priorities can shift and not every project is fully scoped up front.
• Consistently adhere to all Food Safety, GMP, Personal Safety, and Company Policy standards.
Move to the top if you have (Preferred Qualifications):
• Microsoft Power BI, Fabric or other relevant certification.
• Experience with platforms such as SQL Server, Snowflake, Mozart Data, Tableau Cloud, Sage 100, Salesforce, or Claris FileMaker.
• Experience working with manufacturing, ERP, or operations data.
• Experience designing or maintaining Gold-layer (reporting-ready) tables in a medallion architecture. Silver and Bronze layer engineering experience is not required.
• Experience with Tableau, especially migrating reports from Tableau or another BI tool to Power BI.
• Familiarity with ETL/ELT concepts and an interest in growing data engineering skills.
• Exposure to Python for data analysis or automation.
Core Strengths & Mindset (Essential for success!):
• Eagerness to learn and grow
• Positive and collaborative mindset
• Strong sense of ownership and accountability
• Ability to balance technical work with business needs
• Attention to quality, reliability, and maintainability
