Backend Developer Intern — Узбекистан, Ташкент

Responsibilities: • Work on real tasks from our backlog, starting with small tickets, with a mentor checking your code

• Help build and support our REST APIs and add small features to existing services

• Fix bugs and write unit tests for your code

• Write SQL queries and make simple changes to our PostgreSQL database

• Use Docker for local development and help keep CI/CD pipelines running

• Learn how our services talk to each other through Kafka or RabbitMQ and try writing a simple producer or consumer

• Connect to our internal AI services and check how fast they respond

• Join code reviews and help keep our technical docs up to date

• Work closely with product, data and DevOps teams and see how a feature goes live

• Requirements:

• Basic Python (functions, OOP, data structures, error handling), or Java, C# or C++, and course projects count too

• Good basics in data structures, algorithms and OOP, and you can explain at least one SOLID principle

• You understand how REST APIs work: HTTP methods, status codes, JSON

• Basic SQL: joins, simple indexes and what a transaction is (PostgreSQL is a plus)

• You use Git every day: branches, commits, pull requests

• Basic idea of testing and unit tests

• You want to learn, take feedback well, look for answers yourself first and finish what you start

• Nice to have

• Some experience with FastAPI, Docker or CI/CD

• You know what a message queue is, or you have tried Kafka or RabbitMQ

• You can explain the difference between a monolith and microservices, and you know why we use caching and load balancing

• You know a few design patterns like Factory, Strategy or Observer, and you are open to learning DDD

• You have used an AI model API or run a model locally in a project
